Awana Puggles is our program for children who will be 2 years old before September 30th and have not yet turned 3 years old.  Puggles introduces biblical concepts at church and prepares parents to continue teaching at home.  The Awana Puggles program is built around four precepts: God made everything, God saw that it was good, God is love, and Give thanks.  Each week children receive a take home teaching card that helps parents reinforce the lesson, throughout the week.  In addition, children are given their own Puggles t-shirt and backpack so they can feel like they are really part of their own club.  Club meetings take place on Wednesday nights from 6:15-8:00 p.m. (September through May).

TeamKid

Kids in Discipleship

Children who will be three years old by September 30th through 5th grade are invited to join us for TeamKID on Wednesdays from 6:15-8:00 p.m.  TeamKID is a fun, recreation-based club for kids! TeamKID balances high-energy activities and games with high-impact Bible lessons, Scripture memorization, and life application.  It is our sincere desire that children not only learn about the Bible and memorize verses, but that they understand what they are learning.

A TeamKID meeting has six parts with each one flowing into the next to keep the pace moving with non-stop energy:

WARM-UP is the opening activity that begins as soon as the first child arrives at TeamKID.

WORKOUT includes energized, interactive Bible study as children hear or experience a Bible story, learn the meaning of a Bible verse, apply Bible truths to their lives, sing, and pray.

REACH OUT uses either the missions DVD, missions activities, or mission action projects to teach children about missions around the world.

STRETCHING is when children work on learning the memory verse.

THE TOURNAMENT is a time to run, play, and laugh with fun games and activities that reinforce the Bible study

COOL DOWN is the final few minutes of the meeting and includes refreshments and a review of what children have learned.

Wednesday Night Dinner

We provide dinner at 6:00 p.m. for kids who are attending Awana or TeamKID.  You may bring your child and drop them off or stay and join them for dinner.  In addition, children who attend MCDC can join us for dinner and save parents the chore of rushing to find dinner.  Dinner is $2.00 per person.
